CoordiCare Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 22, 2026

CoordiCare (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use the CoordiCare mobile application and related services (collectively, the “App”). By using CoordiCare, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Who We Are

CoordiCare is a care coordination application designed to help families manage caregiving responsibilities — including medications, appointments, tasks, health records, and communication — in one shared space. The App is intended for use by adults 18 years of age or older residing primarily in the United States.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account Information: When you register, we collect your name and email address. In future versions of the App, we may also collect phone numbers and support biometric authentication (such as Face ID on iOS).

Health and Care Information: You may voluntarily enter information about care recipients, including date of birth, medication details, appointment notes, health journal entries, emergency visit logs, and uploaded documents. This information is entered at your discretion.

Future Health Data: In upcoming versions of the App, we plan to collect additional health-related information, including known allergies and chronic conditions. This policy will be updated before those features are introduced, and you will be notified of any changes.

Care Circle Information: When you invite others to your care circle, we collect their name and contact information as provided by you. Invited members may also create their own accounts and manage their own data.

Calendar and Drive Data: If you connect Google Calendar or Google Drive, we access your calendar events and Drive files solely to enable the features you request, such as syncing appointments or storing shared documents.

Device and Usage Information: We may collect information about the device you use to access the App, including device type, operating system, and general usage patterns, to help us improve the App.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the CoordiCare App
  • Enable care coordination features, including shared medication tracking, appointment scheduling, task assignment, and document storage
  • Send you notifications about care-related reminders and updates (via Firebase)
  • Send transactional emails, such as account verification and updates (via Resend)
  • Sync data with Google Calendar and Google Drive when you have enabled those integrations
  • Improve the App based on usage patterns and feedback
  • Respond to your support requests and communications

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

Service Providers: We use the following third-party service providers to operate the App. Each provider processes data only as necessary to deliver their service:

  • Supabase – database storage and file hosting
  • Google Calendar and Google Drive – calendar sync and document storage (only when you connect these services)
  • Firebase (Google) – push notifications
  • Resend – transactional email delivery
  • TimeZoneDB – timezone data for scheduling accuracy

Care Circle Members: Information you add to a shared care circle is visible to the members you invite, according to the permissions you set. Each member controls what they share from their own account.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of CoordiCare, our users, or the public.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in Supabase. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Files and documents you upload may be stored in Supabase storage and, where you have enabled the integration, in your connected Google Drive.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access and Correction: You may access and update your account information within the App at any time.
  • Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email address below. We will process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Google Integrations: You may disconnect Google Calendar or Google Drive at any time through your device settings or Google account settings.
  • Notifications: You may opt out of push notifications through your device settings.

7. Children’s Privacy

CoordiCare is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it promptly.

8. International Users

CoordiCare is designed for users in the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page and notify you through the App or by email. Your continued use of CoordiCare after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
